Patrick Storedahl grew up in Kalama, Washington. Although exposed to music at an early age, he didn’t really become involved playing until he was about thirteen. He was asked to join a band because he had some rudimentary guitar skills; however, since he had never learned to play songs by ear…he began writing songs. He took up piano when he was seventeen, eventually learning to play songs by ear as well as read music. After leaving Kalama, he attended college at Western Washington University in Bellingham, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Along with Eric Richards, Ted and Douglas, he formed a band called Fifth House…then as a trio Ted, Douglas and Patrick became Just Plain Bill. Starting with Some Horrendous Joke and carrying on through Hedonistic Rituals, he wrote most of the charts for the extended instrumentation. In 2004, he released a solo CD called Ink Block Fingerprint; and in 2005, he became interested in some drum loops and helped record the Kalama Tea album with JPB. He resides in Olympia with his family writing and playing music with Just Plain Bill and Clavilux (an instrumental surf, punk, space band).
